introduction
theology main

why more writing on theology? there really is quite a lot of it written, covering nearly any topic from nearly every viewpoint... we have three guiding principles for the study of theology, and we do not feel that other works fully manage to meet them. off the bat, we should acknowledge that we won't meet them either; there will surely be plenty of opportunity for the alert reader to smugly note that we fail to meet our own goals. however, we do hope that our tenets are reflected in the finished product.

the principles guiding this work :
first...to be concise is better than to be verbose.
second...an informed student of theology should understand all of the major viewpoints on an issue, not merely the dogmas of his particular corner of the church.
third...biblical theology shouldn't extend past the limits of biblical knowledge. in other words, leave gray areas gray. theologians seem loath to respect these limits...
