Goals
1. Know the story
to know the flow of biblical history and the relationships between the major events of scripture.
the idea is to have a basic framework to knit together the little bits of bible we pick up here and there. so that when someone talks about the judges we know roughly when that occured (and a bit of the background.)

2. Grasp the ideas
to grasp and understand the continuity and variation of ideas and concepts in scripture.
in other words, some of the major theologies of scripture will hopefully become more vivid, especially the interplay of ideas between the old and new testaments.

3. Live the dream
to think and act in ways that consistently reflect the truths of scripture
the ultimate goal is that we would think and act in the manner god requires, becoming more and more able to live and be consistent with the requirements of scripture.
