Eph 6:1-3 "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER (which is the first commandment with a promise), SO THAT IT MAY BE WELL WITH YOU, AND THAT YOU MAY LIVE LONG ON THE EARTH."

3. Responsibility of the Parents (Taylor)
A. Not to exasperate the children
Eph 6:4 "Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger"

B. Bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord

Teach - The requirement
Deut 6:6,7 "These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.
