more research on the usefulness of short, intense interval training in a
short nytimes article from their well blog. if you're new to hiit/tabata workouts (high intensity interval training), check the
wiki; the basic idea is to have an extremely short workout that is extremely intense (all-out). we usually do them in 8 sets of 20 sec sprint, 10 sec jog for a total of 4 minutes (it's terrible).
